General Coverage Receiver Icom IC-R7100

In 1968, Icom presented with it's IC-R7000 a VHF / UHV receiver as a twin to it's VLF / shortwave pendant IC-R71.
The IC-R7100 as a successor of this set has been advertised in February 1990 and presented at the 1990 Ham Radio fair, but it made it's appearence on the shelves of the amateur radio shops not before the end of 1990. The set has a very similar appearence to that of the IC-R72.

The Icom IC-R7100 was the successor of the IC-R7000 VHF/UHF receiver, it is microprocessor controlled and comes with 900 memories organized in 10 banks as well as a direct frequency entry keypad. It's dimensions are 24,1 x 9,4 x 22,9 cm and it's weight 6 kg.
