The shortwave receivers from the German company Nordmende are far less known then the famous Grundig Satellit sets.
In the late sixties and the seventies, Nordmende had several shortwave receivers under the Globetrotter and Globemaster name in their catalogues. The latest of these sets was the Globetrotter 808, a few later travel radios capable of shortwave reception were imported from Japan and sold under Nordmende's Label.
In the U.S., there has been a conflict about the use of the "Globetrotter" trademark, so Nordmende sold it's sets under the name of "Globetraveler".
