In the seventies and eighties, Russian multi band radios have been exported
to Germany and western Europe, some of them via the German Democratic Republic
or other tracks, in exchange to "hard currency".
These Russian sets usually come with a very rugged cabinet and offered pleasent
audio due to their big speakers, but the dial marks can only be described as
rudimentary and frequency finding was guesswork.
